Pangat (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a restaurant management platform operated by Softweirdo Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Phone number, name, and restaurant/business details when you sign up.
- Business Data: Menu items, orders, bills, customer records, inventory, and staff information that you enter into the platform.
- Customer Data: Phone numbers, names, and order history of your restaurant's customers (collected via QR ordering or POS).
- Device Information: Device type, browser, IP address, and app usage analytics.
- Payment Information: Payment method selections (UPI, card, cash) for order settlement. We do not store card numbers or UPI PINs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Pangat platform (POS, KDS, orders, billing, inventory).
- To enable QR-based customer ordering and loyalty programs for your restaurant.
- To sync invoices with BillTick for GST-compliant billing.
- To send OTP for authentication via WhatsApp.
- To generate reports and analytics for your business.
- To improve our services and fix issues.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only in these cases:
- BillTick Integration: Invoice data is synced to BillTick for GST compliance when enabled by you.
- WhatsApp OTP: Phone numbers are shared with our messaging provider to deliver OTP codes.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Data is stored on secure cloud servers (MongoDB Atlas, Cloudinary for images).
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on encrypted cloud databases.
- API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Authentication uses JWT tokens with short-lived access tokens and secure refresh tokens.
- Staff access is controlled via role-based permissions (Owner, Manager, Captain, Kitchen, etc.).
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. Business data (orders, bills) is retained for a minimum of 8 years as required by Indian tax regulations. You can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
6. Your Rights
- Access, update, or delete your personal information.
- Export your business data (orders, bills, customer records).
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
- Request complete account deletion.
7. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage and secure storage to maintain your login session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
8. Children's Privacy
Pangat is a business tool and is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
